The BIG Move So far...

We loaded up the UHaul Saturday with lots of help from friends and family then our friends took the truck and drove to Utah and stayed with her mom. We left Sunday afternoon and stopped in to see Daniel and Cass before we really took off. Then we drove to Taylorsville and stayed with our friends mom. Thanks by the way. Monday morning we ran over to see my cousin Letti and let the girls play a little while. Our first destination-Mesquite, Nevada. We did stop in St. George to do a little outlet shopping and got more school clothes. We made it to Mesquite in great time. So far, so good. Keep reading....

The UHaul pulling the pick up as we drove the van.
Jamie & Lulu in Vegas

We got to Vegas the next day even though the destination was Tucson, we are not too far away. We were going to see the reef show and saw the prices and turned around and got back on the road.

Avery & Hadley in Vegas.

We really wanted to do the Hoover Dam but with the Truck and the construction we would have had to unload everything, have it inspected, reload it and then we could be on our way. We decided to go around which took us into California on this super old highway with a million "Whoop-de-doos" poor Suzie got sick but it kept me awake.
We were so excited to see this sign. We got into AZ a little and called to make sure our place would be open and ready for us in an hour. (Mind you we were about 5 hours later than planned) It was not ready so rather than going and sleeping in our house with no electricity, then driving back to Phoenix to take Kevin & Suzie to the airport, we decided to stay with my uncle in Chandler. It was great he has a pool, the kids went CRAZY. The next day we took our friends to the airport and I got a call saying it takes over 24 hours after you make the call to have your power turned on so I call right away. They looked it up and told me because it had been off for more than 6 months we needed an inspection. (This was on Wednesday we were supposed to be in our place Tuesday) We decided to say in a hotel becuse we still had no power. That night there was a HUGE storm and it knocked out the power. IRONICALLY!!! There was a 5 foot deep river running down the road. It was down to about 2 feet deep by the time I was brave enough to go check it out. I talked to the manager and he comped us that night. The next day we went to the house to check things out and work some more and saw that our house is in 7 violations. We neede to get an electrition out to fix them then call the city for another inspection and then they will notify the power company to go ahead. I called the Landlord and told him everything and that I was very upset. I told hime we needed a hotel for the night, come to find out the way people work in this town we are in a hotel until Monday. It is Super HOT and humid thanks to all the storms. My poor girls are dying. hadley has to have shots tomorrow and she starts school on Monday. I was okay until I went to her school. When did she grow up? I'm not okay with this. We are supposed to have phone and everything by Tuesday so stay tuned for the rest of our move. On the plus side we get to swim anytime we want.
Look how red her face is, her wet gross hair and she is sitting in the front seat in the AC of the car and has been for about 15 minutes and is still dying. My poor girls are not going to make it. I want to move to Alaska after this.

Oh, that's just horrible! I hope everything goes better for you, soon! Congratulations on your pregnancy, by the way! Did I miss it, or do you know what you're having? A baby, obviously, but boy or girl?

Are you sure you don't want to be a writer? You have the potential to become a Dave Barry or an Erma Bombeck! I know it all sucks, but looking back on it (and the way you write it) It is funny!
We really miss you!!!
